Dr. Anca Tâu — press kit
We divided medicine into specialties. The body never agreed.
01 In three lines
Senior consultant in both cardiology and internal medicine. In practice since 1990.
She conceived and leads the first IC-OS-accredited cardio-oncology centre in Romania.
IC-OS-certified in cardio-oncology. PhD in medical sciences.
02 Why she isn't just another cardiologist
In Romania, cardiology and oncology operate as two separate systems. Patients move between them carrying their own information — usually without knowing which part of it matters.
She built the bridge, and built it to international standard.
Regina Maria Floreasca is the first IC-OS-accredited cardio-oncology centre in Romania — and, for now, the only one.
03 How she sounds
The best reason to book her isn't the diploma. It's how she explains things.
“If the internet had a penal code, cortisol would be serving life.”
“The most important line on a blood test is usually the one the eye skips over.”
“It isn't menopause that ages a woman fastest. It's the loss of muscle mass.”
“A heatwave doesn't make the heart ill. It puts it to the test.”
She writes everything herself, without an agency. When a piece is written in partnership, it says so in the first line.
04 What she brings
Principal Investigator on an international phase III trial — ROCKET-AF, Johnson & Johnson. Co-Investigator on three others.
Led the Quality Management Unit of Elias University Emergency Hospital (2015–2017) and the Cardiology Department of Ponderas Academic Hospital (2017–2020).
Trained abroad: Paris, Leuven, Parma.
IC-OS-certified in cardio-oncology.
Member of the European Society of Cardiology, American College of Cardiology, ASE, EACVI and IC-OS.
Teaches physiology at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Bucharest.
Physician of the Year — Excellence Diploma, Romanian Healthcare Awards 2025.
PhD in medical sciences.

07 What she declines
Politics · specialties outside cardiology and internal medicine · the medical cases of public figures · prescription medicines, in any public context.
This isn't a reservation. It's why a yes means the subject can be supported with evidence.
