Dr. Anca Tâu is a senior consultant in cardiology and internal medicine, holds a PhD in medical sciences, and has practised since 1990. She conceived and leads the first IC-OS-accredited cardio-oncology centre in Romania, at Regina Maria Floreasca, Bucharest.
01 Career
She graduated from Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in 1990. She trained in cardiovascular physiopathology in Paris, in echocardiography in Leuven, and in advanced cardiovascular imaging in Parma.
She spent 17 years at Elias University Emergency Hospital in Bucharest as a senior consultant in internal medicine and cardiology, and for the last two ran the hospital's Quality Management Unit: protocols, audit, documented pathways.
That is exactly what international accreditation demands. She took it into cardio-oncology and built a centre that can show, not just state, how its patients are cared for.
She conceived, built and leads Romania's first IC-OS-accredited cardio-oncology centre.
